Plan your visit

We are delighted to announce that we are now back open, we have missed you all and are looking forward to getting back and exploring Viking and Medieval Dublin with our visitors!

Health and Safety:

  • All of our staff have completed the Failte Ireland Covid 19 Safety Charter for Tourism businesses.
  • There are reduced visitors numbers, social distancing measures and pre-booked time slots in operation.
  • The Welcome area and exhibitions are regularly sanitised, there is increased cleaning of all areas and touchpoints, perspex screens at our ticket desk, and cashless payments. There are also hand sanitising stations situated around the exhibition.
  • A timed-entry system is in operation and set numbers apply to ensure a safe capacity is upheld at all times
  • We ask all visitors to follow the social distancing advice and signage in operation in the exhibition, and to be considerate and patient with other visitors and our staff, by doing so your visit will be a much more enjoyable one.

Booking a Ticket:

  • Follow the Book Tickets button anywhere you see it on our website and it is a simple and easy process, you will then receive an email confirmation on booking, which will also reiterate the public health guidelines in operation.
  • We strongly recommend you book online in advance to ensure your visit at your preferred time and date. We welcome walk in visitors too but first preference will be given to those that have pre-booked.
  • There is no need to print your ticket, you can just display it on your phone. Please arrive for your booked time slot at least 5 minutes beforehand.
  • If you are delayed or late for your scheduled time slot, don’t worry you won’t miss out, but do please call us as soon as possible on 01-6794611 so that we can help you reschedule you on the same day, where possible.

What is included in my ticket to Dublinia?: Nothing too much has changed from the normal visit to Dublinia. We are a journey through the Viking and Medieval city and thus already operate a one way system. Find out more about our exhibition here. Each visitor is also provided with their own stylus pen to use on our interactive touchscreens and our Living Historians are also still on hand to provide you with all the information you need. In some exciting news, we also have a new exhibition called Heroes of the Viking World, this is not to be missed. This touring exhibition is brought to Dublinia by The JORVIK Group from Jorvik Viking Museum in York England. Click on the link Heroes of The Viking World to find out more.
