Secondary School Tours

What we do:

Education at Dublinia, one of the top school attractions, involves the learning, research and sharing of information on Dublin City’s Viking, Medieval, and archaeological history.

We have a wide range of learning facilities at Dublinia for all secondary schools. Our secondary school tours are all curriculum based and multi-sensory delivered by a costumed guide. We include 1st and 2nd year Junior cycle history, 3rd year History Revision tours, Transition Year tours and more.

In the classroom:

At Dublinia we have a fantastic Online Learning section to our website. Click here for access. An excellent school resource that has both Primary and Secondary level. Including audio visual animations, quizzes, videos, hotspots and much more. A fun and educational way to bring Viking and Medieval history to the classroom.

Visit us:

Groups (10 students or more) cost €5.00 per pupil, all teachers are free of charge.

We have a coach drop off and pick up point at Dublinia’s entrance with coach parking around the corner on Cook St. All group sizes are accommodated and visits last approx 90 minutes. The group rate does not include admission to St Michael’s Tower.

All group sizes accommodated. Visits last approx 90 minutes. Groups must be pre-booked with our bookings department on bookings@dublinia.ie or Tel:+353 (0)1 6794611.

Coming in September 2021 (subject to public health restrictions)

Walking tours and exclusive private access: To start your visit, as Dublinia is situated right in the heart of the Viking and Medieval city, your class, along with an expert guide, will go on a walking tour of our beautiful city.  From Ath Cliath to Dyflinn to Dubhlinn, we will explore the Viking and Medieval origins of the city on foot. Next you will continue your journey inside the Dublinia exhibition to explore further. There will also be curriculum based activity sheets for your class to complete.
