Primary Schools Tours

What we do:

Education at Dublinia, one of the top school attractions, involves the learning, research and sharing of information on Dublin City’s Viking, Medieval, and archaeological history.

We have a wide range of learning facilities at Dublinia for all primary schools. Our authentically costumed guided tours are age and ability specific to ensure classes get an individually tailored educational experience based on teachers’ learning goals whilst also paying particular attention to areas relevant to the curriculum.

In the classroom:

We have many resources for teachers including Learning packs with pre and post visit worksheets, which are used to support learning by students in a multisensory and unique way.  This encourages all students to engage with the exhibitions in Dublinia and gain both analytical and social skills.

We also have an Online Learning element to our website Click here for access, that can be accessed in the classroom on a free online platform.  This brilliant website includes nine audio visual animations with interactive activities on nine historical sites in Dublin. This is an excellent primary school resource for the classroom environment with working on interactive whiteboards. With three sections on the Vikings, and five on the Anglo Normans, there are plenty of quizzes and hotspots to keep students entertained while learning!

Visit us:

Our groups (10 students or more) cost only €5.00 per pupil and all teachers and SNA’s are free of charge. We have a coach drop off and pick up point at Dublinia’s entrance with coach parking around the corner on Cook St. All group sizes are accommodated and visits last approx 90 minutes. The group rate does not include admission to St Michael’s Tower.

In order to visit Dublinia, groups must be pre-booked with our bookings department on bookings@dublinia.ie or Tel:+353 (0)1 6794611.
